Hello and thank you for visiting Elder's Resolution.

This website was first created in an effort to stop Clearcreek Chapel  of Sprinboro, Ohio from going through with their intentions of breaking apart my in-law's marriage in 2007. The divorce is now final and this page stands as a warning to others in hope that it can prevent others from going through what we have, and also to make ourselves available to those who are suffering in similar ways.

Let me ask you: "If a group of elders of an independent autonomous church offend a brother, is that brother without biblical remedy?" I don't think so. and neither does my father in-law. This is what he also has said : “Matthew 18 is a God ordained process for offences against brothers and not a "discipline process" tool belonging exclusively to elders. I believe it is a universal principle (Matthew 16:17-19) and I also believe that remnants of this truth can be seen throughout the New Testament.”

There are those who have said that this site is a form of gossip. This however is not true. This site is merely following Jesus' instructions in regard to reconciliation among brothers in the church; not just local, but universal concerning church discipline as found in Matt.18.

Before I created this page I contacted all parties involved. When they would not listen I then contacted other pastors and requested their assistance and they did contact the elders of CCC as well. These requests for repentance ultimately went unheeded by the elders of Clearcreek Chapel. My final attempt was to bring this matter before the church body of CCC, and then finally to the church universal.

As you can see I have done this through this site where all parties have been accurately provided a voice. Through the course of this struggle for truth, my wife, Paul, and I have been contacted by many others who have been grievously manipulated by this group. I stand behind all that has gone into this page and testify that all that I have shared to be the truth.

God Bless,

Do not admit a charge against an elder except on the evidence of two or three witnesses. As for those who persist in sin, rebuke them in the presence of all, so that the rest may stand in fear. (1Ti 5:19-20)

Have the Clearcreek elders offended me?

They most certainly have:
1. They greatly exaggerated my personal problems and sin for ill intent which can be ascertained from their own document.

2. They brought me up on an unjust, cruel and unbiblical church discipline, subjecting me to discouraging examinations for the purpose of determining repentance after I had written a letter stating my reasons for leaving Clearcreek Chapel with my family. There was no hint of any need for church discipline prior to this which can easily be established by the documentation posted on this site.

3. They humiliated and slandered me before my church family of 20 years, calling me unrepentant and unbelieving because I feared God more than them.

4. They refused to address rampant gossip and slander against me by Clearcreek parishioners.

5. They counseled my wife to disregard my
leadership and return to Clearcreek Chapel.

6. After casting me out of the church, they moved quickly to counsel her to divorce me within 3 months. She heeded their counsel and we are now divorced.

7. They supplied my wife with an attorney and paid for his services, presumably  with church funds, as stated in their resolution.

Why would they be excluded from the above because they are elders? Surely the things the church claims to stand for in this country will compel them to take a stand in the name of Christ. Though I have protested the above privately to the elders many times in the past, I now make this appeal to the body of Christ through this site.

In Christ,
Paul Dohse
